1283184 Glycol monomethacrylate CESKOSLOVENSKA AKADEMIE VED 19 April 1971 [6 Feb 1970] 23973/71 Heading C2C Raw glycol monomethacrylate is purified by diluting with water to a concentration of from 5 to 50% by weight of glycol monomethacrylate, cooling to a temperature of from solidification point to 15‹ C., recovering a phase containing glycol dimethacrylate and salting-out the monomethacrylate at not above 15‹ C. A solvent for the dimethacrylate may be added to the diluted monomethacrylate before the separation of the glycol dimethacrylate, and a solvent for the monomethacrylate may be added before or during the salting-out process. Tetrachloromethane is suitable for use during the salting out stage. |
