Method for determining an age indicator for a blood pouch (11) in which the blood pouch is equipped with a chip with a loop antenna by which it can communicate with an electronic communications device (2, 8, 17, 12, 20, 24), which is itself equipped with a loop antenna and which is connected to a computer (9, 13) with appropriate calculation software. The age indicator is calculated regularly and indicates whether a blood pouch can be transfused or not. The invention also relates to a corresponding monitoring system. |
