A method for producing nickel powder from alkaline nickel-cadmium batteries, in which positively charged nickel plates are removed from the used batteries, treated in weak solution of sulfuric acid, washed in water, heated to the temperature of in an oven without protective atmosphere, cooled in water, air-dried at room temperature, grinded, crushed, annealed and magnetic separation of powder is used to remove non-magnetic inclusions. |
