PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure diagnostic device of a voltage sensor for minutely diagnosing failure contents in the voltage sensor for outputting two voltage signals. SOLUTION: CPU 43 of the failure diagnostic device 1 calculates a total voltage value Vic of a battery pack 10 from at lest one voltage value of a plurality of cells 10<SB>1</SB>-10<SB>n</SB>. In addition, CPU 43 compares the total voltage value Vic of the calculated battery pack 10 with a voltage value V(+) based on a voltage signal Vout(+) of a positive side output from the voltage sensor 41, and compares the total voltage value Vic of the calculated battery pack 10 with a voltage value V(-) based on a voltage signal Vout(-) of a negative side output from the voltage sensor 41. Furthermore, CPU 43 diagnoses failure of positive side output Vout(+) of the voltage sensor 41, failure of negative side output Vout(-), and failure of both outputs Vout(+), Vout(-) from result of comparison due to a first comparison function and a second comparison function.
