<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device whose structure is simplified and which is improved in S/N ratio of an optical detection part although employing constitution wherein an optical detection part which detects part of light emitted by an LED chip is provided to a mounting substrate in one body. <P>SOLUTION: The light emitting device includes the mounting substrate 2 which has the LED chip 1 mounted on one surface side and also has the optical detection part 4 for detecting the light emitted by the LED chip 1, and a lens part 3 which controls distribution of the light emitted by the LED chip 1. The mounting substrate 2 is formed using one silicon substrate (semiconductor substrate) 20a, wherein the optical detection part 4 has a light reception part 4a, receiving the light from the LED chip 1, formed on the one surface side of the mounting substrate 2 by the LED chip 1, and also has a waveguide 5, guiding part of the light emitted by the LED chip 1 to a light reception surface of the light reception part 4a by repetition of total reflection, provided on the one surface side of the mounting substrate 2 not right above the LED chip 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
