PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead-free copper alloy for casting, which has excellent mechanical property such as strength even without containing lead causing degradation of water quality, has excellent pressure resistance and machinability, and is useful as a base stock for water tap fittings, faucet in contact with water and the like. SOLUTION: The lead-free copper alloy for casting contains, 0.1-0.7% (by mass%, hereunder the same for the chemical component composition) S,≤8% (not including 0%) Sn and≤6% (not including 0%) Zn, respectively, and in this alloy, sulfide is dispersed and the average spheroidizing ratio of the sulfide is≥0.7.
