A proposed milking installation includes at least one movable element (RP, MR, CG, 160, 165) configured to be engaged in connection with milk extraction from at least one milking animal. A camera (C3D) registers three-dimensional image data (Dimg) in real time. The image data (Dimg) represents an operating zone (Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6) of the movable element (RP, MR, CG, 160, 165). A control unit (150) receives the image data (Dimg) and discriminates between at least two different types of separate entities in the image data (Dimg). The control unit (150) causes execution of a first action in response to detecting a first type of separate entity in the operating zone (Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6), and causes execution of a second action in response to detecting a second type of separate entity in the operating zone (Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5, Z6). Thus, the installation can behave differently depending on who/what interferes with the movements of its operative elements. |
