The triangular belt is fitted between the front seat and led via a guide ring or pulley on the doors of the car to an anchoring device, pref. a rosette, on the roof holding a tension spring whose extension is limited by, e.g. a nylon cord. This is done irrespective of whether the anchoring device is fixed on the roof, when arresting counter-spring rollers must be fitted in the side belt or whether the belt ends into such rollers in a bottom slung under the roof.
