<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing a beverage, effectively sweeping away even beverage adhering to an inner wall, and securing a beverage offering amount for one serving. <P>SOLUTION: This apparatus 1 for producing the beverage includes a stirring container 6 receiving a beverage raw material and shaved ice, and a sweeping port 21 formed on the bottom of the stirring container. A stirring part 5 has a motor 50M, a blade 51 fixed to a driving shaft 50 descending into the stirring container, a bottom plug 54 rotatably attached to the lower end of the driving shaft and sealing the sweeping port of the stirring container in an openable and closable manner, and a lifting and lowering device 40 lifting the stirring container, and opening and closing the sweeping port by the bottom plug.
