PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cargo handling vehicle capable of preventing a front part of a container from being brought into contact with movable bumpers during a loading/unloading work of a container. SOLUTION: The pair of right and left movable bumpers 11 arranged on both sides of a vehicle width direction of a fixed bumper 10 are made rotatable forward and backward by a bumper cylinder 41. When an unloading switch 63 is operated during the loading/unloading work of the container C, a hook arm 5b is rotated backward, the bumper cylinder 41 is made to perform a contracting operation to move the movable bumpers 11 to storage positions, and the contact of a front wall Cd and a leg part Cb of the container C with the movable bumpers 11 is avoided.
