OIL-FILLED CABLE LINE MONITORING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-filled cable line monitoring system wherein it is possible to determine whether or not work arising from the line interruption or work for avoiding the line interruption can be conducted before an oil-filled cable line is interrupted after oil leakage from the oil-filled cable line is detected.

SOLUTION: The monitoring system includes: a level detector 5 and a monitoring device. The level detector includes: a lower limit first stage detection contact for directly or indirectly detecting the lower limit first stage level of insulating oil that may leak from an oil-filled cable line; a lower limit second stage detection contact for directly or indirectly detecting the level of insulating oil substantially at a midpoint between the lower limit first stage contract and the lowest level of insulating oil necessary for the oil-filled cable line; and a lowest level detection contact for directly or indirectly detecting the lowest level. The monitoring device includes: a signal reception unit 61 that receives detection signals from the level detector 5; an interruption determination unit 62 that sends interruption signals to open circuit breakers A, B; and a status indication unit 65 that displays an alarm. The monitoring system gives a notice of the time it takes for the level of insulating oil to reach the lowest level.
