PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device for suppressing deformation and ignition caused by heat generation of a heater of a first rotating body with simple constitution. SOLUTION: The fixing device 9 includes: the endless belt type first rotating body 9a rotatable in a periphery direction; a pressure receiving member 940 arranged inside the first rotating body 9a, and abutting on an inner peripheral surface of the first rotating body 9a; a supporting member 960 arranged inside the first rotating body 9a, and supporting the pressure receiving member 940; a rotatable second rotating body 9b holding material to be transferred T with the pressure receiving member 940 through the first rotating body 9a, and forming a fixing nip N9; a contact member 953A coming into contact with the supporting member 960 when the supporting member 960 moves by a predetermined distance; and the heater 920A arranged inside the first rotating body 9a, generating heat by being energized when the supporting member 960 comes into contact with the contact member 953A, and heating the first rotating body 9a from the inside.
