PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air pressure adjusting method of a tire capable of adjusting the air pressure of the tire, with higher accuracy than hitherto by determining an adjustment air pressure by a simple calculation, keeping it properly, and contributing to improvement of fuel economy and reduction of a carbon dioxide discharge amount. SOLUTION: In the air-pressure adjusting method of a tire for bringing the air pressure close to a designation air pressure PS after the lapse of a prescribed period (one month), after adjusting the air pressure of the tire mounted on a vehicle to the adjustment air pressure PO, a temperature fluctuation portion PT of the air pressure depending on a temperature change is determined from an air temperature TO at the adjustment time and a day average air temperature T2, after the lapse of the prescribed period; and a leakage lowering portion PL of the air pressure depending on natural leakage is determined from a period average air temperature TA during the prescribed period, and the adjustment air pressure PO is determined, by adding the temperature fluctuation portion PT and the leakage lowering portion PL to the designation air pressure PS. When the vehicle is allowed to travel as long as a prescribed distance or more immediately prior to adjustment, a travel increase portion PR of the air pressure depending on travel is determined from average speed during travel, and the adjustment air pressure PO is determined by adding further the travel rising portion PR.
