<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vacuum cleaner which stops the operation of an electric blower by detecting a spark generated by a friction between the commutator of the electric blower and a carbon brush without stopping the electric blower in normal operation, prevents smoke and ignition of the electric blower beforehand, and is excellent in reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The electric vacuum cleaner includes a spark detection means for detecting the spark generated by the friction between the commutator of the electric blower which applies a negative pressure to a dust collecting chamber and the carbon brush, and a control means for controlling the electric blower when the detected value based on spark detection information from this spark detection means is larger than a prescribed value. A plurality of prescribed values are set. When the exhaust system downstream side temperature is lower than a prescribed temperature, a first prescribed value is set, and when it is higher than a prescribed temperature, a prescribed value lower than the first prescribed value is set. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
