PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film packaging apparatus and a film packaging method, whereby each roll assembly is efficiently packaged and entry of dust or dirt can be prevented. SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a supplying station I for successively conveying individual take-up rolls R by use of a conveyor 10; an assembling station II where a roll assembly RA is assembled by inserting a plurality of take-up rolls into a center core 1 and inserting protective sheets 2a and 2b for protecting both ends of the take-up rolls R and also inserting spacers 3 between the take-up rolls; a drum winding station III where a packaged cylindrical film body CF is formed by packaging the outer periphery of the roll assembly RA with the film into a cylindrical form; a sealing station IV where a packaged roll product WR is formed by twisting both ends of the cylindrical film body CF, fastening it with a tape; and an ejecting station V for ejecting the packaged roll product WR. Carrying out successively the steps enables each roll assembly RA to be automatically packaged, thus eliminating the need for manual labor and protecting them from dust. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
