PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens carrier capable of carrying a lens at a high speed. SOLUTION: The lens carrier 20 includes: a supply side lens carrying container 25 used for receiving a lens 2A to be processed from above, in a first position P1, and carrying the lens 2A to a second position P2 so as to deliver it to a lens holder 11 positioned above; and a discharge side lens carrying container 26 used for receiving a processed lens 2B from the lens holder 11 positioned above, in the second position P2, and carrying the processed lens 2B to a third position P3 so as to discharge it upward. The retracting positions P0 (25) and P0 (26) of these containers 25 and 26 are between the first to third positions, namely, P1 to P3, and the containers 25 and 26 are integrally and linearly fed by a biaxial feeding mechanism 24 so as to be positioned in respective positions. Since the containers have only to be moved by a linear short distance, with fewer feeding movements, the lens carrying operation is done quickly. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
