PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device and an imaging method, for obtaining a variety of images. SOLUTION: A photographic picture frame is divided into a plurality of regions according to an object (S5). In the plurality of divided regions, a first object (Zb region) and a second object (Za region) are selected (S6 and S7). The focus position of an imaging lens is moved from the first object (Zb region) to the second object (Za region) (S16). While the focus position of the imaging lens is moved, video image data is recorded (S17).
