The motor 15 of a spin-drier is vertically mounted by flexible suspension elements 14 within a support frame 1 comprising a lower and an upper flanged ring 12, 13, and intermediate supports 11 secured thereto. The drier housing 2 of synthetic plastic material is secured by screws 5 to the ring 12 to which ring also are secured the feet 16 of the drier and the housing has an integral intermediate plate 22 with an inner rim 23 which rests on the ring 13. The rim has recesses 24 into which projecting parts of the suspension elements 14 are led and the rim is secured to the ring by screws 6 between the recesses 24. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), the supports 11 are bent outwardly at their lower ends to engage beneath the flange of the lower ring, and the screws 6 are replaced by rubber lugs upstanding on the upper ring to engage in recesses in the intermediate plate 22.
