PURPOSE: A display apparatus and a method for controlling the same are provided to prevent an error in recognizing the location of an input device and an angle. CONSTITUTION: A signal receiving unit(110) receives a signal in an effective frequency band from an input device. A signal processing unit(120) outputs the input signal from a user. A display unit(130) displays an image based on the user input signal. An attenuation signal generating unit(140) generates the attenuation signal. The attenuation signal has a waveform in order to reduce the noise not in the effective frequency band.
