<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray imaging apparatus the movement of which is easily stopped. <P>SOLUTION: The X-ray imaging apparatus supporting an X-ray irradiation apparatus and an X-ray detector so as to oppose each other by a supporting mechanism on a truck having wheels for movement is provided with: a handle (114) to be pushed with hand provided on the truck (110); and a brake means (140) provided at the handle. The brake means comprises: the lever (144) for manual operation; a brake shoe (146) which operates by the manual operation of the lever; and link mechanisms (148a, b, c) which connect them.
