摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a MnZn ferrite core having high electric resistivity by forming an insulator layer on a surface of a MnZn ferrite sintered body, and to provide a coil type electronic component using the MnZn ferrite core. SOLUTION: The MnZn ferrite core 9 is composed of the MnZn ferrite sintered body 19, and the insulator layer 5 formed on the surface of the MnZn ferrite sintered body by an aerosol depositing method and made of at least one of oxide-based ceramic, nitride-based ceramic, and carbide-based ceramic. A pair of external electrodes 1 is formed on the MnZn ferrite core, and a core portion 3 of the MnZn ferrite core is wound with an insulating coated copper wire 4 to form a coil, both ends 8 of which are electrically connected to external electrodes to constitute a winding inductor 10 as an example of the coil type electronic component.
