PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a block loading/dropping method for increasing the number of blocks to be loaded and dropped by a navigation and increasing efficiency of the work for constructing an artificial sea bottom mountain range. SOLUTION: In this block loading/dropping method for loading a plurality of blocks B at a plurality of steps in a hold of a bottom opening barge 1, transporting them on the sea, opening a ship's bottom at a target position, and dropping the blocks to construct the artificial mountain range on the sea bottom, the blocks B are loaded at a plurality of upper and lower steps and are fast tied onto a hull per step, the tied group BSU of blocks at the upper step are first released and dropped, and then the tied group BSD of blocks at the lower step are released and dropped after dropping the group of blocks at the upper step.
