PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform motion picture photographing at a free angle of view while improving audio without recording noise caused by an operation of varying power of an optical zoom lens and effectively using an angle of view of the optical zoom lens. SOLUTION: In an audio-priority mode, if a motion picture non-compatible optical zoom lens that is not silence-designed is used, it is reported to move the zoom position of the optical zoom lens to a wide-end prior to motion picture photographing, thereby preventing zooming operation from being performed during motion picture photographing. Thus, a video image with excellent audio, in which zoom driving noise is not recorded in the audio, can be obtained. Furthermore, since the zoom position of the optical zoom lens is located in the wide-end during motion picture photographing, the angle of view of the optical zoom lens can be effectively used from the wide-end and by using an electronic zoom, a photographed video image at a free angle of view can be obtained.
