PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supersaturated solution of an organic compound and a method for producing the solution, by which an organic compound can be dissolved over the saturation concentration even in a poor solvent, as the organic compound is dissolved in a molecular state, thereby, there is no restriction about solvents, and as the temperature of the solvent is not elevated, not only organic pigments but various kinds of organic compounds such as drug components of pharmaceutical products and proteins that can not be heated can be dissolved, and moreover, as the compound hardly precipitates from the solution in which the compound is dissolved, the solution facilitates reaction, purification, processing and the like, and can be used in various fields. SOLUTION: The supersaturated solution of an organic compound and the method for producing the solution are characterized by dissolving an organic compound over the saturation concentration in a poor solvent with respect to the organic compound.
