PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winding type electrochemical device having excellent impedance characteristics. SOLUTION: A belt-like electrode composing an anode electrode A includes a belt-like main metal foil A1 and a pair of active material layers AE1, AE2 respectively provided on both surfaces of the main metal foil A1. A belt-like electrode composing a cathode electrode K includes a belt-like main metal foil K2 and a pair of active material layers KE1, KE2 respectively provided on both surfaces of the main metal foil K2. A belt-like auxiliary metal foil T1 is provided on an upper surface of an exposed area of the main metal foil A1, and a belt-like auxiliary metal foil T2 is provided on an upper surface of an exposed area of the main metal foil K2.
