<p>A horizontal worktable has an opening in which revolving, cylindrical cutting tools of varying dias. may be mounted to suit the particular size of cut required; each tool has a front cutting ring, and a continuous internal cylindrical hole right through the tool and rests horizontally on pairs of support rollers which are adjustable in height. A holding down belt passes over the upper part of the cylinder, the outer diameter of this belt remaining inside the outer diameter of the cutting ring. Specifically, the supporting rolls are mounted on pivoting segments arranged in pairs to adjust the rolls together to the desired height enabling the cutting cylinder to lie with half its diameter above the worktable. a number of such tools may be arranged coaxially with increasing diameters in the direction of advance of the workpiece.</p> |
