<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire which has excellent flexibility at a distal end part, is capable of forming a coating layer with a flat and smooth outer surface, and is excellent in operability and safety. <P>SOLUTION: The guide wire includes a flexible wire body composed by bonding a first wire and a second wire arranged on the proximal end side of the first wire, and a spiral coil 4. The coil 4 has an outer diameter/inner diameter fixed part, a tapered part, and an outer diameter/inner diameter fixed part 41 in the order from the proximal end side to the distal end side. In the outer diameter/inner diameter fixed part 41 of the coil 4, the shape of a part 402 on the outer peripheral side of a wire 40 and the shape of a part 401 on the inner peripheral side are different from each other. Then, in the outer diameter/inner diameter fixed part 41, the average value R2 of the curvature radius of the part 402 on the outer peripheral side of the wire 40 on the cross section of the wire 40 is set to be larger than the average value R1 of the curvature radius of the part 401 on the inner peripheral side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
