<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which a plurality of exhaust ducts are joined together to share exhaust fans and an expensive ozone filter, consequently a limited space is effectively utilized, and also no interference occurs between respective air flows. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a plurality of sections to be cooled such as a fixing device 5 and image forming units 2Y, 2M, 2C, 2K; a separating and conveying section 6 for sucking sheet material and conveying it to the fixing device; the exhaust duct D6 for the separating and conveying device 6; and the plurality of exhaust ducts D1 to D5 for cooling the sections to be cooled. In the image forming apparatus, the exhaust duct D6 for the separating and conveying device and the plurality of exhaust ducts D1 to D5 for cooling the sections to be cooled are joined into one joint duct GD. The plurality of exhaust fans F1, F2 are provided in this joint duct GD. A separating wall member W is arranged in the upstream side of one of the exhaust fans F1 in the exhausting direction, and consequently the joint duct GD is sectioned into two regions comprising a region for the exhaust duct for the separating and conveying device and a region for the exhaust duct for cooling. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
