PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the paper sheet alignment state when discharged paper sheets are loaded on a paper sheet stacking table, and to shorten the time until the paper sheets are stacked.SOLUTION: A paper sheet discharging device includes a paper sheet stacking unit, a paper sheet rear end butting part, a pair of paper sheet holding members which hold each paper sheet or a plurality of stacked paper sheets at the paper sheet holding position, and move them to the paper sheet stacking position, a paper sheet holding member moving device, and a friction member which is provided on one paper sheet holding member of the pair of paper sheet holding members and abutted on a highest surface of the stacked paper sheets on the paper sheet stacking unit. When the pair of paper sheet holding members reach the paper sheet stacking position, the paper sheet holding member moving device moves one paper sheet holding member to the upstream side in the paper sheet discharging direction, moves the held paper sheet to the upstream side, buts the rear end of the paper sheet to the paper sheet rear end butting part, and urges the paper sheet toward the paper sheet rear end butting part while the friction member is abutted on the paper sheet on the highest surface. |
