PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an especially efficient squirrel cage induction motor, relating to a squirrel cage induction motor.SOLUTION: The squirrel cage induction motor includes a stator with stator windings wound around many stator slots being arranged apart in the vicinity of the inner circumference of a stator core, and a rotor with rotor conductors buried in many rotor slots installed apart in the vicinity of the periphery of the stator core and end rings at both ends of the rotor core. In the motor, the rotor core is compose of a plurality of blocks, and a circular short-circuit ring is provided between the blocks of the rotor core to short-circuit the rotor conductors, thus enlarging the thickness of the rotor more than the thickness of the stator. |
