摘要 A device for the disinfection of a substance by means of ultra-violet radiation comprises a plurality of lighting bodies (1, 2, 3) for the production of ultra-violet radiation; at least one ballast device (4) for the imposition on the lighting bodies of a supply signal, and a process computer (5) with a programmed control program on it. The control program controls and runs a method for the monitoring of the plurality of lighting bodies comprising imposing on the plurality of lighting bodies of at least one supply signal from at least one ballast device, reading at least one parameter for each of the individual lighting bodies in each case, forming at least one calculated reference value from at least some of the parameters read from the different lighting bodies, comparing the calculated reference value with the parameter of each individual one of the lighting bodies and generating a signal for each lighting body of which the parameter exceeds a specified deviation from the reference value.
