<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generation apparatus capable of decreasing maintenance cost while suppressing a variation of the height of the liquid level of an electrolytic bath, and a gas generating method. <P>SOLUTION: An output signal is imparted to a control apparatus 90 from a liquid level sensor 40 provided in an anode chamber 4. The output signal indicates whether the liquid level height of an electrolytic bath 5 in the anode chamber 4 is higher than a reference height or not. When the liquid level height of the electrolytic bath 5 in the anode chamber 4 is higher than the reference height, the control apparatus 90 elevates the frequency of the driving voltage of a compressor 22 generated in an inverter circuit 22I by a specified value. It is possible thereby that the rotating speed of a motor equipped by the compressor 22 is raised, and the discharging pressure of hydrogen gas discharged from the compressor 22 is raised, and the pressure in the cathode chamber 3 is decreased. As the result, the liquid level height of the electrolytic bath 5 in the cathode chamber 3 is raised, and the liquid level height in the electrolytic bath 5 in the anode chamber 4 becomes lower than the reference height. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
