PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain an arc from being generated, when using a metal member containing oxygen as a base material, to prevent a welded portion from fusion-dropping, and to uniform a junction face of the welded portion, compared with that in a prior art.
SOLUTION: This arc welding method uses the metal member having 10 ppm or more of oxygen content, as the base member 50, and includes a preheating process and a waveform control process. The whole face or one part of the base member 50 is preheated in the preheating process. In the waveform control process, a waveform of a current I flowing between the base material 50 and an electrode 30 is changed between a peak current value Ip and a base current value Ib not including a zero value, in one electrode side, a current value ratio (=current amplitude value Iw/current average value Iv) is brought into a range of 0.5 to 2.0, and a frequency is 500 Hz or higher, to generate the arc. An arc generation time is restrained in a short time, since the base material 50 is preheated, fused metal pushed away by arc force is restored when the arc force gets weak, since the current I is changed in the one electrode side, and the welded portion is thereby prevented from fusion-dropping.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
