<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of moderating size precision required for each member composing a transmission mechanism while securing high quietness. <P>SOLUTION: The electric power steering device forms a housing 2 of EPS by division into a first housing 61 for providing a mounting part 52 fixed for a vehicle member 53 and a second housing 62 for housing and supporting the transmission mechanism 21.
