<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mold flux for continuously casting steel capable of obtaining excellent surface quality of a cast slab while suppressing generation of dust attributable to scattering of powder mold flux, and suppressing corrosion of a continuous casting machine attributable to F. <P>SOLUTION: The granular mold flux for continuously casting steel contains, by mass, 40-95% pre-melt raw material of Na<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O-CaO-SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>type or Na<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O-CaO-SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>-B<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>type, 0-30% silica raw material, 0-5% fluorine raw material, 1-15% carbonate, 0.5-5% binder, and 0.5-5% expanded graphite. The granular mold flux has the synthetic environment improving effect capable of simultaneously suppressing generation of dust and corrosion of the continuous casting machine, and manufactures a cast slab of the non-changed surface quality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
