<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make possible accurate pressure loss calculation with a less workload and efficient accomplishment of comparative study of pressure loss values on a plurality of lines included in a flow channel model. <P>SOLUTION: When a user indicates, in a flow channel chart 35 drawn by a CAD apparatus and displayed on a display screen 4A, members constituting a line whose pressure loss is to be calculated, a CAD apparatus selects the user-indicated members as the members constituting the line whose pressure loss is to be calculated, and alters the mode of displaying the selected members in the flow channel chart 35. Further, a list of the selected members is displayed. In addition, the CAD apparatus, after the user has inputted the flow rate value of each member, calculates the resistance coefficient of each member and calculates the pressure loss value of the line.
