<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs for manufacturing a pipe seat for attaching a pipe to a container and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the pipe seat includes: melting a workpiece (end plate 1a of the container) using a fluid drill to raise the pipe seat portion 13 toward a process-start side of the workpiece; and allowing an end mill to penetrate through an inner surface of the raised pipe seat from the process-start side to produce a hole of the pipe seat, thereby manufacturing the pipe seat integrally with the workpiece. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
