<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable displacement vane pump in which the strength of a rotor can be improved. <P>SOLUTION: The variable displacement vane pump includes: a driving shaft 2 journaled by a pump housing 10; a rotor 3 that is provided within a cam ring 4 and has a through hole 30 through which the driving shaft 2 is passed and that has a plurality of slits SL arranged at a substantially equal spacing in the circumferential direction; a shaft side serration part 20 in which recessed portions 201 and projecting portions 202 are repeatedly formed on the outer circumference of the driving shaft 2; a rotor side serration part 31 in which recessed portions 311 and projecting portions 312 are repeatedly formed on the inner circumference of the through hole 30 of the rotor 3, and in which a plurality of slits SL are arranged in such a way that each of slits is substantially matched in phase with any one of the projecting portions 312 of the rotor 3, and which engages with the shaft side serration part 20 to thereby transmit rotation of the driving shaft 2 to the rotor 3; and vanes V each of which is provided in each of the plurality of slits SL in an advancing/retracting manner, and which form one suction area with the volume being increased and one discharge area with the volume being decreased among a plurality of pump rooms R within the cam ring 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
