<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, an image processing system, and a program that divide image information with imposed images of plural pages in a simplified procedure compared with the conventional one. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus, an image processing system, and a program perform processing of dividing imposition image information with imposed images of plural pages to be printed on printing paper, without positively generating image data for proof printing. Dividing conditions include the numbers of pages to be imposed on the printing paper in longitudinal and lateral directions, and a spread direction of adjacent images. The numbers of divisions in the longitudinal and lateral directions are calculated on the basis of input information, that is, m: the number of pages in the lateral direction, n: the number of pages in the longitudinal direction, and the spread direction (lateral or longitudinal). 1/2 of information on the number of pages in a direction designated in the spread direction information is X: the number of divisions in that direction.
