<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic sensor which has a structure capable of detecting a magnetic flux from a minute region and which is suitable for mass production and can improve output. <P>SOLUTION: A magnetic sensor 1 includes: a main channel layer 7a having a first region, a second region and a third region in a channel 7 and extending in a first direction; a first ferromagnetic layer 12A laid on the first region; a second ferromagnetic layer 12B laid on the second region; a projection channel layer 7b projecting perpendicularly to the thickness direction of the main channel layer 7a from a lateral face of the third region between the first region and the second region in the main channel layer 7a; and a magnetic shield S covering both sides of the projection channel layer 7b in the thickness direction and both sides of the projection channel layer 7b in the first direction and exposing the end face 7c of the projection channel layer 7b in a projection direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
