PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, when reversing the flow direction of air in a scavenging passage before the air is introduced into a cylinder in a conventional two-stroke engine, the air charged into the scavenging passage is more likely to be mixed together with an air-fuel mixture from a crankcase.
SOLUTION: In a part of an up-stroke period of a piston 32, a crankcase 60 in which negative pressure is generated is connected to a scavenging passage 66 via a scavenging port 68. Accordingly, most of air introduced into the scavenging passage 66 from an air passage 44 flows toward the scavenging port 68, thereby allowing the air to flow into a cylinder 24 without reversing the flow direction.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
