<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection cover capable of bearing up under pressure of instantaneous high-pressure gas at rupture, in the protection cover for a lamp with high-pressure gas sealed in inside a glass-made arc tube. <P>SOLUTION: The lamp protection cover surrounding a light-emitting part of the lamp includes: a shaft part; two resin-made receptacle half bodies openably and closably coupled in free rotation with the shaft part as a center; a lamp housing part fitted inside the receptacle half bodies; an end-face part extended along an axis direction provided at opposed edge parts of the lamp housing part of the receptacle half bodies; a protruded part extended toward inside of the lamp housing within a cross-section face crossing the axis direction at least from the end-face part of one of the receptacle half bodies; and a stopper regulating rotation of the receptacle half bodies at a closed state of the protection cover. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
