<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a wet friction material with a desired μ-V property by reducing the effect of gravity. <P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a wet friction material, comprises: circulating and agitating a papermaking raw material 10 stored in a papermaking raw material tank 1 to keep concentration of the material constant; determining a shape of the papermaking raw material 10 by forming a predetermined shape of the papermaking raw material 10 supplied from the papermaking raw material tank 1; and absorbing water from an upper surface of the papermaking raw material 10 by an upper part water absorption device 7 and dehydrating a lower surface thereof by a lower part dehydration device 8, according to the specified shape of the papermaking raw material 10. Accordingly, the method comprising absorbing water from the upper surface of the papermaking raw material 10 by the upper part water absorption device 7 and dehydrating the lower surface thereof by the lower part dehydration device 8 allows the papermaking raw material 10 to form a wet friction material having a high μ-V property on the upper surface side, according to settings of water absorbing force and dehydrating force of the upper surface and the lower surface of the papermaking raw material 10, for example, by lifting up diatom earth and the like contained as additives for increasing a friction coefficient μ, as the papermaking raw material 10, to an upper surface side of the papermaking raw material 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
