PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation device of a vehicle which does not only select one of a plurality of gear shift ranges according to an operation intention of a driver but also further expresses a continuous operation intention by the driver in a specified gear shift range, and to reflect the continuous operation intention of the driver to the other device mounted to a vehicle by detecting the continuous operation intention.

SOLUTION: The operation device comprises: a gate means capable of selecting a plurality of gear shift ranges arranged on a moving passage of an operation lever in order and providing a gate pattern so that the continuous displacement formation of the operation lever is possible in relation to a specified one gear shift range of the plurality of gear ranges; an actuator mounted to the vehicle to form a change in a physical quantity; and a controller to control the actuator according to information on the continuous displacement formed by the operation lever in the specified one gear range.
