PURPOSE: Steelmaking equipment having the heat-insulating and reinforcing permanent lining is provided to improve heat insulation properties of refractory materials of the permanent lining by adding porous particles. CONSTITUTION: Steelmaking equipment comprises a crucible, a permanent lining, and a steel shell. The crucible holds molten metal. The permanent lining encloses the crucible. The steel shell encloses permanent lining. Porous ceramic spherical materials to the total weight of the composition of the permanent lining is 5~20wt% when manufacturing monolithic refractory.
