PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce color blur and achromatization occurring at a contour boundary to more appropriately suppress color noise.

SOLUTION: An image processing device is provided with: a color noise index calculation part which calculates the occurrence rate of color noise at a target pixel by using pixels located within a predefined region around the target pixel as center, the pixel that is to be processed and is included in image data; a reference region size setting-part which sets the size of the reference region around the target pixel as center in accordance with the occurrence rate of the color noise; and a pixel correction part which corrects the pixel value of the target pixel by using the pixels located in the reference region.
