<p>The gas containment device comprises a plasma welding torch, and a tubular sleeve (2), where a front end (6) of the sleeve is closed and a rear end (7) of the sleeve is open for mounting and fitting the torch inside the sleeve. The tubular sleeve comprises a lower wall having a passage opening of a welding arc produced by the torch. The lower wall comprises a flange extending towards the bottom and forming a gas containment tube (13) to come in contact with a part to be welded. The gas containment tube comprises, at the front end of the sleeve, a cutter intended for passage of a weld bead. The gas containment device comprises a plasma welding torch, and a tubular sleeve (2), where a front end (6) of the sleeve is closed and a rear end (7) of the sleeve is open for mounting and fitting the torch inside the sleeve. The tubular sleeve comprises a lower wall having a passage opening of a welding arc produced by the torch. The gas containment tube comprises, at the front end of the sleeve, a cutter intended for passage of a weld bead, longitudinal edges that are parallel to an axis of the sleeve, and a protection strip made of copper on the parts of its edges to come in contact with the part to be welded, and has a hardness of 30 Shore A. The rear end of the sleeve comprises a gripping unit. The gripping unit comprise two lugs (8) extending transversely on both sides of the sleeve. An upper wall (4) of the sleeve is shaped to be adapted to the shape of the upper part corresponding to the torch. A periphery of the passage opening of the welding arc has an additional thickness of stiffening for the maintenance of the front end of the sleeve during the welding.</p> |
