FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-ferrous metallurgy and may be used in production of refractory corrosion-proof and strong articles. Zirconium oxide powder is mixed with magnesium oxide powder at weight ratio of 2.5-10:1. Then, mix is heated at 1000-1200C in atmosphere of argon for 1-3 h. Note here that magnesium powder particle size equals 100 mcm while metal content in composite powder varies from 5 to 50 wt %.
