<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus including a power saving function which prevents the reduction of performance by reducing influences on a system performance when masking an interruption signal. <P>SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus includes a recovery interruption control unit 200 which controls output of a recovery interruption signal 222 for recovering a CPU 120 shifted to a predetermined power saving mode from the power saving mode. An interruption mask circuit 220 within the recovery interruption control unit 200 validates mask in according with a power saving mode status signal 221 indicating that the CPU 120 is in the power saving mode, and cancels mask in accordance with the recovery interruption signal 222. Thus, it is not necessary to operate the CPU 120 for setting validity/invalidity (cancel) of mask and a system bus 121 is not used. Therefore, the time during which the CPU 120 is in the power saving mode can be prolonged rather than the prior arts while reducing influences upon a system performance and without reducing the performance, and power consumption can be suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
