<p>1365134 2,2-Diphenyl-2-(2-propynyl) acetamides ROUSSEL UCLAF 16 Nov 1971 [16 Nov 1970] 53067/71 Heading C2C [Also in Division A5] Novel 2,2 - diphenyl - 2 - (2 - propynyl) acetamides of the formula wherein either R<SP>1</SP> is H or C 1-4 alkyl, R<SP>2</SP> is H, R<SP>3</SP> is C 1-4 alkyl and R<SP>4</SP> is C 1-4 alkyl, aryl or aralkyl; or R<SP>2</SP> and R<SP>4</SP> are as previously defined and the grouping is a 6-membered heterocyclic ring, or R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>4</SP> are as previously defined, and the grouping is a 6-membered heterocyclic ring, or R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>2</SP> are as previously defined and the grouping -N(R<SP>3</SP>)R<SP>4</SP> is a 5- or 6-membered heterolyclic ring; and acid addition salts thereof are prepared by reacting functional derivatives of 2,2- diphenyl-2-(2-propynyl) acetic acid with compounds of the formula 2,2 - Diphenyl - 2 - (2 - propynyl) acetyl chloride is prepared by reacting thionyl chloride with 2,2 - diphenyl - 2 - (2 - propynyl) acetic acid, obtained by hydrolysing benzyl 2,2-diphenyl-2- (2-propynyl) acetate, resulting from the treatment of benzyl 2,2-diphenylacetate with 2- propynyl bromide in the presence of sodium amide.</p> |
